Today, Mr. Herry told us our reflection score. I got 7/8. I think I didn't get a full mark because my reflection was not really detail. Then, we had a music theory which is inversion. Mr. Herry explained us about it and I quite understand about this inversion. After that, we decided our group member for the singing assessment. What I need to improve is I have to write my reflection more detail and I will study the music theory for the assessment, also practice to prepare the singing assessment. Mr. Herry also gave us example of inversion and I asked us to practice it at home so, I will try to practice it.

Today, Jennie, Jacintha, and I were late. As usual Mr. Herry checked our attendance and our resources. Then, we gathered with our singing group to talk about the singing assessment. After that, Mr. Herry gave us an exercise to prepare the theory assessment. I did it good because I made no mistake. But, I will keep study and prepare for the theory assessment and practice for the singing assessment.


Music Class
We had no much time in this session. I only practice the C major 7 inversion. I did it quite good because I think it's not really hard to do. But, I still have to practice more, not only the C major 7 inversion but until G major 7 inversion.

As usual Mr. Herry checked our resources. Today we had a theory music assessment. Mr. herry gave us a paper. He asked us to wrote our name, our binusian id, and the date. Then we started the assessment. During the assessment I had a little difficulty that was, wrote the D major, E major, and A major scale because I didn't really remember it, so I had to calculate the distance between the notes. But, I did my test quite good and quite fast. I hope the result will be good. Still, I have to keep study about the notation so I can always remember it.


Music Class
In this session, I practice the C major 7th- G major 7th inversion. I got the first turn. I did it quite good although not really fluent. So, I will practice it again plus A major 7th and B major 7th inversion.

Friday, October 1 2010


I came late today because of the traffic jam. So, I had to get the student pass on 7th floor. I was so tired because I had to use the stairs. After I got the student pass, I gave it to Mr. Herry. Then, he gave us time to practice with our group to prepare the singing group assessment next week. Then we had a rehearsal. My group got the third turn. We did it not really good because we never practice before and it's hard to divide our voice. So, I think we have to practice more and prepare for this assessment. Mr. Herry also asked us to chose our supervisor to help and train us. Our supervisor is Mr. Harry Wisnu. I hope we can get good score with his help.


Music Class


This session, we practice with our supervisor. My group practice with Mr. Harry. We started with a warming up but, because we had no enough time, we only warmed up in this session. For this group singing assessment we will practice more and i hope we can get good score.

Today we had the last rehearsal for the group singing assessment this Friday. After my group practice with Mr. Harry for a few minutes, we performed in front of the class. We got the third turn. We did it quite good but for me personally, I still had no confident. That's why we need to practice more and prepare for this assessment. I also have to try to be more confident so, we can get a good score for this assessment.

As usual Mr. Herry checked our attendance and our resources first before begin the class. While we were waiting for the microphone we had a theory class first. Mr. Herry taught us about how to compose a song for our next assessment. Soon the microphone ready, Mr. Herry gave us 5 minutes to wear our costume and prepare. My group got the third turn. I felt so nervous but I tried my best, so did Jennie, Reynaldi, and Martinus. Thus, I think we did it quite good and I hope we can get good score. I will try to understand how to compose a song for our next assessment.

Today, Michelle who was checking our attendance and resources. Then, we saw the last singing group performance. They sang " We are the champion". They did it quite good. After that, Mr. Herry discussed about our homework which is chord progression. He also gave us some examples and asked us to do our homework. I will try to do my homework as good as I can,


Music class
In this session, I practice about the inversion. Then Mr. Herry explained about broken chords and asked us to took a note about this. He also  asked us to practice it at home so, I will try to practice it.

Today, we saw Gregorius played guitar to prepare for the competition. He played good. Then, Mr herry taught us how to compose a chord and melody and I understand his explanation. After that we also saw Daniel's performance. He played good. Mr. Herry checked our homework too and I will try to make the homework so I can practice to compose a song.

As usual Mr. Herry checked our attendance and our resources first before begin the theory class. Then, Mr. Herry taught us about the new scales which are minor natural scale, minor harmonic scale, and minor melodic scale of a,e,b, and f#. Then he asked us to do some exercises. I understood about this and I did the exercises well although it took quite long time to finished the exercises. I will try to keep remember about this because it can helps me to compose a song for the next assessment.


Music class
In this session I practice the broken chord of C-G major. I did it quite good although not really fluent. It was quite hard to transpose the and the melodies. I will practice more so i can play it well.

Today we didn't do much, we were reviewed about what we learned in the last Tuesday and Mr. Herry were asked us one by one about it. I could answered some questions that Mr. Herry gave me quite good but there was a question that I couldn't answer because I was a little panic as Mr. Herry counted the time. After that Mr. Herry checked our homework about the melody and the scales. After finished checking our homework, he told us about our finale homework and taught us how to create the composition using finale software. He also gave us the minor homework. There was no instrument class today as we had no enough time. I will try to make my homework.

Today Mr. Herry gave us our notation result. I got almost perfect score which is 49/50. Then, we reviewed about the minor scale. Mr. Herry also asked us one by one. When Mr. Herry asked me, I could answer it. He asked us to make our finale and study about the minor scalebecause we will have a quiz for minor scale. So, I will try to make my finale and study about the minor scale.


Music class
In this session, I practice the E minor scale. It was quite hard because it's new for me but I did it quite good. To improve my minor scale I will practice at home and try another minor scale.

Today we had a minor scale quiz. I forgot that there is a quiz today. I didn't prepare anything but Mr. Herry gave us 5 minutes to study. I used this 5 minutes as good as I can to study. After that, Mr. Herry gave us the quiz paper and we started the the quiz. I did it quite good and fast. I hope I can get good score. I will try to note every tasks or test in my journal so I won't forget.


Music class
This session I practice my song that I already wrote in the finale. I got the first turn. I did it bad because I didn't do it fluent. Actually, I want to change my song but I only have 1 week to create the song and write it in finale. I try to make it but if I have not enough time I will use this song and do some changes or make some variation.

Today I made my song in a paper that Mr. Herry gave. I wrote the melody and the chord  well. Actually Mr. Herry asked us to write the lyric and the title too but, I didn't write the lyric because I had no idea about it. He asked us to submit the finale this friday so, I'll try to write my song in the finale and make the lyric. But, maybe there will be some changes in my song.

Today Mr. Herry explained us  about the passing note. I quite understood about it. Then, Mr. Herry gave us our booklet and told us our score. I got 8/8. I'm very happy and satisfy with my score. After that we heard our friends' music composition but not mine because we had not enough time to hear all of our songs. Actually, Im very glad with it. Mr. Herry also asked us to practice our own composition. So, I will practice my song and get a good score.

After checking our attendance and our resources, Mr. Herry gave us time to practice our song. But, I used this time to edit my music composition in the assessment paper. After that, Mr. Herry asked us to perform our song in front of the class. I got the fourth turn. I did it bad because I haven't practice yet. Besides, I was so nervous. So, I will practice more to prepare this assessment.

As usual, Mr. Herry checked our resources and our attendance first. Then, he gave us the music scores of our instrument group. After that, he gave us a few minutes to practice our song. During this practice time, I wasn't play my song fluently especially in B part. Finish practice, we watched the guitar and violin group perormance. To prepare this assessment, I will practice more.

Today, we rehearse our song. I got the sixth turn. When my turn came, I played my song with nervous. As the result, I played quite good but not really fluent and made some mistakes. To improve this, I will practice more. Mr. Herry also asked us to wrote a comment for our instrument member performance.

- Adrian : his song is quite good, he also played well. But, he still need more practice so he can get a good score
- Jacintha : her song is good and so mellow. She played very well too.
- Annisa : her song is good and very cheerful. She played quite good and she still need more practice so she can get a good score.
- Jennie : her song is good and she played quite well too. But, she still made some mistakes so, she needs to practice more.
- Imez : her spng is very good and she played good as well. She needs to practice more so she can get a good score.

Today, Michelle who was checking our attendance and our resources. After that, Mr. Herry asked us one by one if we want to fix our finale or not. I want to change some part of my finale. Then, Mr. Herry gave us fifteen minutes to practice our song with our instrument teacher.. Finish practice, we continued with perform our song in front of the class. I got the sixth turn, I played my song quite well but still need more practice as I still made some mistakes and not really fluent. So, to prepare this assessment, I will practice more.

Today, Mr. Herry showed our last rehearal video. I was really shame. We also had to write a comment for everyone's performance.

- Adrian : his song is good. He also played well but still made some mistakes. so, he needs more practice.
- Imez : her song is very good. She played well too.
- Jennie : her song is quite good but she played well
- Jacintha : her song is mellow but she played very well
- Aldi : his song is quite good but he needs to practice more as he wan't reallu fluent and made some misrakes
- Daniel : his song is good but when he made a mistake he always said something or whined. He needs to practice more
- Pandu : his song is good. He played quite well too but he needs more practice.
- Gregorius : his song is peaceful and he played well too
- Ardhito : his song is quite nice and he also played good.

Mr. Herry also asked us to read our comments. Most of my friends said that I still made some mistakes and need to practice more. So, I will practice more. We also watched performance from the other instrument groups which are guitar, saxophone, and violin.

In this video I practice E and F major 7 inversion. I didn't do the E major 7 inversion well because it's new for me and it's quite hard. But, for F major 7, I think I did it quite good because it's not as hard as the E major 7. So, I need to practice more to improve my inversion and I still need to practice my G major 7 inversion.

In this video I practice C and D major 7 inversion. For C major 7 inversion I think I did it quite well because it's not hard to do and I ever practice it before. But, for D major 7 inversion I didn't do it good and not fluent because it's new for me and it's harder to do than the C major 7 inversion. I have to practice more so I can do it good and fluent.

Today we had a music assessment. But first, Mr. Herry checked our resources as usual. I got the sixth turn and I played "Minuet in G" by Bach. I didn't play it well because I was too nervous and my hands were shaking while I performed. I also had paused when I made mistakes and it made me more nervous. So, I will practice more and I have to try to be more confident.

As usual, Mr. Herry checked our attendance and our resources. Then he gave us a lot of reflection and told us our score for the last assessment. I got 7.5. While we were doing our reflection, Mr. Herry showed us our records about our performance last Friday. I did my reflection quite good but I did it very slow. So, I have to be faster in doing my tasks.
