Today is the second music class in term 3. As usual, Mr. Herry checked our attendance and our resources first. Then, he gave us a pre-knowledge quiz about the jazz. Before start the quiz, he gave us about fifteen minutes to prepare. Then, the quiz begun. I did it good but, I think I did a mistake. After the quiz, Mr. Herry gave us the jazz modes. I understood about this. He also gave us homework. So, I will do it.
In instrument session, I  practice the jazz modes. I did it bad because I wasn't fluent. So, I will practice more at home.

Today, Mr. Herry gave us jazz music sheet. He asked us to work in pair. After read it for awhile, Mr. Herry asked us to answer the questions that he gave us, pair by pair. Me and Jennie answered the questions well. Then, mr. Herry asked us to practice the jazz modes in our instrument session. I did not do it well as I played not fluent. To improve this, I will practice the jazz modes with the right hand melody and the left hand melody.

Today, Mr. Herry divided us into three groups. I got the first group. Then, Mr.Herry gave us a question for each group. He gave us about fifteen minutes to discuss with our group. My group discussed it well and we got the answer. After discussing, we presented our answers in front of the class. My group presented quite well but we couldn't answer a question from our friend correctly. We also watched other groups presentation and watched them practice the jazz modes. Mr. Herry also asked us about the jazz modes one by one. I did it well. I will try to always remember this. In instrument session, I practice the jazz modes but the left hand played the melody and the right hand played the chords. I did it quite well but stll need more practice. So, I will  practice more at home.

Today, Mr. Herry asked us to submit our first essay. After submitted, we saw a video jazz. They are playing very good and although they are still in the middle school, they prepared very seriously. Then, we practice "I got rhythm" song together to prepare for the coming singing assessment. We also practice that song with our instrument group. I didn't sing that song well because this is the first time I heard that song. Mr. Herry also taught us about the twelve bar blues. I will do my second task and try to practice "I  Got Rhythm" song. In instrument session, I practice the simple chord progression. But, I didn't do it well and fluent. To improve this, I will try to practice more at home.

Today, we only had one session because of ISA test. We also had our first singing assessment. We had to sing "I Got Rhythm". I got the first turn. I was very nervous besides I forgot that we had an assessment today. So, I only prepared this in school and it's not enough actually. But, the good thing is I could remembered the lyric although I didn't sing with accurate pitch. To improve this, I will try to be more organize so, I can prepare for the next assessment and also try to practice my pitch. As we had not enough time, so, we didn't have the instrument class.

Today, we had a rehearsal for the next singing assessment. i got the last turn. i sang LOVE by Natalie Cole. I did not do it the assessment well because i had not practice it before. Mr. Herry also taught us the 12 bar blues. i quite understood about it. To prepare the singing assessment, i will practice more and try to be more confident. i will also try to always remember about the 12 bar blues.

Today, we had a singing assessment. i think, i did it quite good. Mr.Herry also asked us to wrote a comment about our friends' performance.
1. Adrian - the song is good but I think his pitch wasn't really match with the song
2. Nisa - the song is good and she sang very good
3. Anthony - the song is good and he sang quite good but need more practice on pitch
4. Ardhito - the song is good but I think he need more practice
5. Jachinta - the song is very peaceful and she sang good but lack of power
6. Frederick - the song is good and he sang very good but not really confident
7. Gregorius - the song is cheerful and he sang good
8. Jennie - the song is peaceful and she sang very good but nervous
9. Imez - the song is good and she sang quite good
10. Martinus - the song is good and he sang good
11. Michelle - the song is good and she sang good

Today, after checked our attendance and our resources, we discussed the 12 bar blues and learned how to make it. After that, we had to make our own creation. It was very hard to do as it was the first time i created the 12 bar blues. I didn't do it well because I didn't really concentrate and I didn't really understand the notes. To improve this, I will try to learn about blues and try to fix some notes.

Today Mr. Herry played our song one by one. Mr. Herry said I need to fix some melodies. Mr. Herry also explained us about up beat and down beat. When instrument session, I got the 1st turn to practice. Mr. Herry fix some melodies and I practice it. I didn't do it well because I haven't practice at home before. To improve this, I will try to practice more and write my song in finale.

Today, we had to submit our finale. But, I hadn't submit it yet because I hadn't print it. So, I will submit it tomorrow before 07.40. After that, we also had our own jazz creation rehearsal. I did it quite good but I think I need more practice. So, I will practice more to prepare the assessment.

Today, we had an assessment about our own 12 bar blues creation. we had to perform it according to our instrument group. I think i didn't do t very well because i did some mistakes on notes and rhythm. maybe this is because i was too nervous and didn't prepare well. so, to improve my performance, i have to try to be more confident and i have to prepare for my assessment. Mr. Herry also asked us to give a comment on our friends' performance

1. Ardhito- his song is good he also played well
2. Pandu- his melody is slow and he played well
3. Rifky- his melody is nice and he played very well
4. Gregorius- I couldn't really hear because he played too slow
5. Anthony- he played well but there were some mistakes
6. Martinus- he played well and i like his melody
7. Aldi- he played well
8. Erik- he played well and i like his song
9. Daniel- he played well and his song is nice
10. Michelle- she played well and her song is good

Today, Mr. Herry showed us some jazz videos. Then, we did our reflection about our last assessment. i did it good and quite fast. After that, Mr. Herry divided us into three groups for our next assessment. My group members are jennie, daniel, and anthony. Mr. Herry also explained us about jazz chords. i understood about it. to prepare the group assessment, i will try to practice with my group and do our best.

Today, I made the reflection of the last assessment which is created the 12 bar blues. Then, Mr. Herry gave us an exercise about the jazz chords. I did it quite well but, I didn't do it fast. After that, we checked it together and discussed it. Mr. Herry also asked us to prepare our group assessment. So, I will try to prepare it with my group. I also will try to do my next written assessment or exercise faster and memorize the chords.

Today, Mr. Herry divided us into groups. Then, he also asked us to write our homework on our journal. The homework are we have to copy our journal reflection and print our reflection on blog. Then, we practice with our supervisor, Mr. Harry Wisnu. He asked us to practice. I had to play walking bass and the chords. I think I didn't do it very well as it was my first time. But, I will try to improve my performance by practice more and I will also prepare for this group assessment by practice with my group member.
